Azelaic acid is a topical treatment used to manage acne and rosacea while improving overall skin texture.
Azelaic acid works by inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria and normalising the shedding of dead skin cells.
- Fights Acne Bacteria: Reduces the presence of acne-causing bacteria.
- Reduces Redness: Calms the skin and decreases redness, especially in rosacea.
- Smooths Skin Texture: Improves overall skin smoothness and clarity.
Improvements can be seen within 4 weeks for conditions such as redness or congestion but significant results typically appear within 8-12 weeks.
